Please respond to the following discussion and your take on the following terms.
Mass and friction are both terms that are used frequently in everyday language. I also chose the term mass to talk about. It is true that mass sometimes is used as a synonym for weight in everyday language. However, there is a difference between the two. Mass is the measure of the amount of matter an object has. In comparison, weight is the force due to gravity acting on an object.Often we forget about Newton's 3rd law where forces come in pairs that impact 2 masses.
We get focused on a single mass in Newton's 2nd law and the forces that are applied to that mass.
What about the forces of a mass sliding down an incline plane? Where does Newton's 3rd law come into play?
