My example of probabily is related to the driving style factors of accident probability and severity. In this table present below, probability was used to dictate what factors were most common in the probability of getting into an accident. The factors used were milage, a1-frequency per 100 km of level 1 acceleration (0.3 - 0.4 G) events, a2-frequency per 100 km of level 2 acceleration (0.4 - 0.5 G) events, average speed, maximum night speed, maximum speed during during morning rush hour, s1-frequency per 100 km of level 1 side acceleration (0.3 - 0.4 G) events, average nighttime mileage (0 am - 6 am), and maximum speed during evening rush hour. All Accidents Weak Accidents Medium Accidents Strong Accidents MILEAGE A1 + A2 + AVG SP MAX N SP + + + MAX MJ SP + $1 D_NIGHT M + MAX_EJ_SP + Table 2: The influence of individual factors on the probability of an accident I do believe the probability was used correctly and displayed how these certain factors influence the probability of an accident. Here is my The influence of individual factors on the probability of an accident Weak 7.1% accidents(*) 214% accidents(-) Medium interpretation of the information provided: 28.6% accidents(*) Strong 14.3% accidents(+) Strong accidents(-) 28.6% As you can see, most accidents (about 26%) were from medium accidents. This would make sense because if you were following speed limits a simple accident can cause more damage than something small. If you were speeding and had an accident, the damage would be more severe. From my personal experience, I would fall in the weak accident category. I had an accident recently in a Wingstop parking lot. No one was injured thankfully but the hinge of the passengerside of my door is damaged. I was driving at around 2 to 3 miles per hour in a parking lot trying to find a spot
