When it comes to employee migration in a business, there are many costs and benefits associated with making it happen. Labor migration refers to the relocation of a worker from their home place to work for a company in another place, state or country. When this is done, there are many costs that are associated with relocations. If an older employee is relocated, there are more physical costs associated with their move. As well as, if a larger family is moving, there will be more costs to move them. Although migration may be offered to an employee, they may not pursue it due to perhaps home ownership, the possibility for higher personal tax rates in the new location, the possibility to face a forgein language and more.
Regarding the younger demographic, if someone younger is moving, their costs for moving are lower because they can most likely move themselves and are much healthier to handle a move like that. Education as well is a big factor when it comes to labor migration. As students and younger employees gain a better education, they will seek to move to a palace that offers strong variability in job opportunities. Migration comes with various pros and cons, however the openness of an employee to migration can potentially offer them wage raises and better financial futures.

Labor migration is defined as the movement of a person or persons from their home state to another state with the purpose of finding work. The benefits of labor migration are that often, these workers are taking jobs that most of the population doesn't want or possibly isn't skilled to do, increasing the labor-market flexibility. Additionally, this increases the amount of taxes that are being introduced to the public purse. It is importatant to note that education is also a benefit of labor migration and it commonly occurs where the larger the family size (more generations), the better the education rate becomes within the family. Though this becomes a con for the economy when family size increases.
When families become larger, they are less inclined to migrate for work due to it becoming more complex. An external factor is that wages for native workers are reduced since there is an influx of migrant workers who are willing to work for a lower wage than people native to the area. Another con is how an increase in migrant workers coming to one country, affects another. The PPT illustrated the example of how an increase in migrant workers from Mexico, coming to the United States would increase domestic output in U.S. while lowering it in Mexico. Further, the average wage would be lowered in U.S. and raised in Mexico.
