At the surface of a nonporous cylindrical catalyst, like the one shown below, a zero order reaction, A B, takes place. There is no mass transfer from the round ends because of the nonporous cylindrical catalyst's two sealed circular ends. However, because the lateral side is not sealed, there is mass transfer from the gas phase (under CAb and Tb conditions) to the cylindrical catalyst's outer surface. As a result, the concentration of species A on the pellet's outer surface is not the same as its bulk concentration. Along the length of the pellet, the bulk concentration of species A remains constant. a) Derive the governing equation(s) to find out concentration profile around the nonporous cylindrical catalyst for isothermal and steady-state condition (Note: Please make necessary valid assumptions and clearly indicate the negative/positive directionsin the coordinate system). b) Write the governing equation in dimensionless form. c) Write the boundary conditions for the governing equation(s) for isothermal and steady-state condition. d) Solve the dimensionless differential equation you found in part (b) usingboundary conditions given in part (c). e) Identify the dimensionless number(s) and discuss its significance on the concentration profile
