4.2 You are an assistant Resident Engineer in a project where a concrete trapezoidal channel is constructed in a stream in Edenvale to alleviate occasional floods in the area. In order to get the target strength ratio required for the mix design, a crushing process in a quarry can be operated in 3 different scenarios to generate the required mix design for every 100 tons of raw stone size > 50mm. Crushing scenario 19 mm stone (ton) 13 mm stone (ton) Crusher sand (ton) 1 20 35 60 2 40 55 20 3 65 20 25 The quarry received an order to provide the necessary crushed aggregate material for a large concrete pour of 1000 m3. The concrete mix design has the following stone requirements: . 19 mm stone 835 kg/m3 13 mm stone 520 kg/m3 Crusher sand 662 kg/m3 . You are tasked to do the following: 4.2.1 Form the system of linear equations. 4.2.2 Write the equations in a matrix form. (2) 4.2.3 Generate the necessary program commands to calculate the amount of materials (tons of > 50 mm stones) to be crushed using scenarios 1, 2 and 3 to cater for the concrete pour needs. (3)
