The following details are available with regard to the projects: (Rs. in lakhs) Cash outflow in Project Net present value Cash outflow in year 1 year 2 A 15 45 40 B 10 35 35 18 55 45 D 25 110 E 22 50 60 Time left 2:16:17 The capital expenditure budget for year 1 and year 2 are Rs.225 lakhs and Rs. 125 lakhs respectively. The projects are characterized by the interdependencies given below: a. Projects A and B are mutually exclusive. b. At least one project must be accepted from the set of projects D and E. c. Project C cannot be accepted unless projects B and E are accepted. d. Project D can be delayed by a year, in which case, its NPV will decrease to Rs.20 lakhs. However the cash outflows will remain unchanged. You are required to formulate an integer linear programming model for selecting the optimal combination of projects.
