If robots were able to sense the same feelings we get when we touch something, this would be unethical. I can understand that using haptopgraphy, as Katherine Kuchenbecker stated, would make learning or understanding something better, but do we really need it? People are able to sense, and it is good enough. We do not need technology to sense for us. This would completely change the way our society works.

If this were to happen, I believe robots are able to be programmed to control their emotions, unlike humans. Having a robot as a companion to share feelings with is unethical. When it comes to introverts, they should try to communicate with others and not rely on a robot. Using a robot to share feelings with will promote introverts to stay shy when they would need to talk to people in the real world when they are away from robots. There could also be instances where the robot would react incorrectly or violently. Having robots that are able to feel and touch is more harmful than beneficial.
