INSTRUCTIONS:

• First, view the videos at the links above. Take notes on your general reactions. What is interesting that you notice, what seems like it fits with some aspects of development we've discussed in class (this can be more general as the questions below are more specific)?
• Next, answer the following questions based on the videos

1. Please define gender stereotype. Then discuss how the examples of the children's behaviors in the videos fit (or don't fit) with these ideas.
2. Explain how the videos showed children using effortful control and/or emotion regulation by providing specific examples of the behaviors the children engaged in (provide at least 2 examples).
3. Discuss at least 2 examples of play behaviors you saw in the videos, say what type of play each one represents and why.
4. Define theory of mind. Give one example of a child's behavior in the videos that showed that the child has developed a theory of mind and explain why it shows theory of mind development OR give one example of a child behavior in the videos that showed that the child HAS NOT developed theory of mind and explain how it shows a LACK of theory of mind development.
5. Explain how one example of children's behaviors from the videos fits with a concept within moral development.
