The component equations are a2cos12s23sin12=a1+a4cos14a2sin12s23cos12=a4sin14 Show that, after eliminating s23, the following trigonometric equation is found for 14 : Acos14+Bsin14=C where A=a4cos12,B=a4sin12,C=a2a1cos12 =atan2(B,A),D=A2+B214=cos1DC Then s23 can be found from equation (a) if sin12 is not close to 0 .
