The following data pertain to the mixing department for August: Norkin-process inventory, August 1 Conversion: 76% complete 37,668 units Norkin-process inventory, August 31 Conversion: 56% complete 36,666 units Units started 63,666 Units completed and trans'Ferred out P Costs Workinprocess inventory, August 1 Material X $ 58,169 Material Y 84,669 Conversion 118,129 Costs added during August Material X 151,599 Material Y 145,499 Conversion 177,689 Material X is added at the beginning of work in the mixing department. Material Y is also added in the mixing department. but not until units are 60% complete with regard to conversion. Conversion costs are incurred uniformly during the process. The company uses the weightedaverage cost method. Required: 1. & 2.
