Read "Police use of force: Where is the line? and"Vital intelligence gathering or meddling? which deal with ongoing issues regarding police tactics.

Using the"Legal inquiry framework template" examines one of the two issues presented in the readings: either the use of lethal force or the policy on carding.

Assume that the points in the article are legal facts, determine which laws come into play, and ask whether or not this is an effective method for police to enforce their legal authority. For Step 5, pretend that this case has been brought to court and that you are the judge.
