Corporate Corporation Design Project Description

Corporate Corporation is suffering from network problems in its $18$ floor headquarters' building. Their current network configuration consists of $100$ Layer $2$ packet switches, and they are experiencing service interruptions due to broadcast storms resulting from the implementation of the Spanning Tree protocol. Corporate Corporation is accepting proposals for a complete network re$-$design solution.

The proposals must include:

A design consisting of Layer $2$ and Layer $3$ packet switches.

Layer $2$ and Layer $3$ equipment recommendations.

Network segmentation using VLAN's.

Default gateway redundancy.

Access control for the applications in the data center.

VOIP telephone service for the building.

Power backup recommendations for al$$ network equipment.

Public IP address recommendations, and the cost of acquiring IP address blocks.

Internet bandwidth, and LAN bandwidth, recommendations.

Corporate Corporation headquarters building is home to its $10$ departments and $1,000$ employees. All employees require LAN and Internet access. The data center is located in the second floor, and consists of $100$ servers, $20$ of which have public Internet access. The servers are configured in $10$ racks of $10$ servers each. Note that the data center's servers are not part of the problem; therefore your solution must only consider their network access.

Your team has been selected to submit a design for the network. Follow the Engineering Design Process to provide an accurate and implementable solution. Your team must deliver a complete design proposal. Your team will also perform a live demonstration of the working mail client.
