While growth in the popcorn industry has historically been in the double digits, the industry growth rate has slowed considerably into the single digits, to approximately 3% in recent years; consumers have been purchasing less popcorn since many consumers have been health aware and have been consuming alternative products, and movie-goers have been significantly decreased since the pandemic.
