Potential jobs in the areas of HR Generalist & HR Business Partner SHRM Job board: No HR Generalist jobs are posted within 50 miles of my home. LinkedIn: Within 25 miles of my home, 68 entry-level HR jobs have been posted within the past week. Within 50 miles, there are 164 jobs. The jobs range from payroll clerks to HR Generalists. Many of these positions are below my desired pay range. However, I accept that I may need to take a lower rate of pay temporarily while I transition into this new career. Many jobs on LinkedIn are misclassified into the HR and HR Generalist searches, which makes identifying the jobs I am interested in a little more challenging. For example, several jobs for Patient Benefit reps at doctors offices were in my search, and jobs selling insurance products to companies. ZipRecruiter: There are about 5 entry-level HR jobs listed in my area; these jobs were also listed on LinkedIn. Local hospital groups: I am interested in working in HR in the medical field. I checked the three largest hospital groups in my area, and none have any HR positions I am currently qualified for. USAjobs.com: There are 4 government jobs in HR that match my qualifications and are in my area. These include positions at the FAA and TSA. Lockheed-Martin: I am also interested in working for Lockheed Martin. This is a major employer in my area, and they also offer remote work, flexible hours, and a 4-day workweek, which is attractive to me. Lockheed currently has one HR position listed for which I would meet the qualifications. Google search: Although I am hoping to get away from retail jobs, however, a Google search of HR jobs in my area brought up several that I am qualified for at Wal-Mart, Living Spaces, and several other local stores or warehouses.
