At the end of the month, 200 units were 50% complete. Normal spoilage was calculated to be 430 units, and defects are detected when the process is 70% complete. All spoilage is related to current production (i.e., no spoilage is to be allocated to the WIP ending inventory). The total good output transferred to the Finishing Department was 4,300 units.
