Purpose
In this paper you will cover multiple subjects and topics ranging across the entire course.
This final paper will cover material from the entire course. You are expected to develop a plan
that addresses the following: planning for the future of an organizations; planning for retention of
existing and future employees; and a recruitment plan, that ties into the two prior points.
You will need to use a realworld organization for this assignment, it can be one you know Part
already or one that is found online which you can gather the required information to complete
the assignment.
There are four main sections in the paper. The sections are related, and the paper must
flow logically through each one.
The paper should briefly outline the organization including the number of
employees. Describe what industry the organization is in what type of business it
is Please indicate the number of employees, number of divisions or locations
within the organization and whether it is a unionized or nonunionized
environment. Include an Org. Chart as an appendix. Students may create a
fictitious name for the organization if they wish This should be roughly one page
plus an appendix.
The next section should explore the concept of HR planning for the future of the
organization. First, forecast some of the causes for a future demand of employees.
Do you expect a growth or slowdown in the industry? Ae there any demographic
issues that may change or impact your workforce? What about factors like
turnover due to resignations, retirements, or leaves? Are there any other internal
or external factors that may affect your organization? Then you will create a plan
to address these situations to effectively plan for the future of the organization.This
should be roughly oneone and half pages.
The third section is where you discuss and explain a plan for employee retention.
That may include: changes to your training and development programs; promotions;
and other career opportunities; career development programs; compensation
incentives; and rewards benefits, both monetary and other; flexible job design;
employee involvement practices; employee empowerment practices; work teams;
communication practices; or any other factor you may feel is applicable. How would
you implement them? Also, briefly discuss how these improvements would affect the
