Problem 1: De-humidifier is one of the most desirable systems used for dehumidification of air. In this unit, warm and humid air is cooled and dried by removing water vapor (the humidity). An atmospheric air containing 20% (mole percentage) of water is fed to the process and 90% of the water fed get condensed. Assuming 100 kmoles/hrs of humid air, determine the following: a) Fraction of water in the dehumidified air leaving the unit. b) Mole fraction of oxygen in the dehumidified air stream c) moles of nitrogen in the dehumidified air d) Percentage increase in the condensate flow rate if the feed rate is increased by 25% e) Suggest 2 approaches, at least, to increase system efficiency to remove more water from the humid air
