Problem 2: A packet is sent from the UE PDCP application to gNB PDCP through the RLC, MAC, and PHYS
layers.
For two of the modes of RLC, i.e. Transparent and Acknowledged, complete the following table.
Use the following parameters / assumptions
The distance between UE and gNB is 1.2Km
The bit error rate in the physical medium is 0.1
Each layer takes 2 microseconds for any data integrity activity, e.g., insertion of error detection code,
detection of error, creating or processing ACK/NAK, etc.
Only one NAK is sent by the receiver (HARQ or ARQ) in case of error resulting on one retransmission of
the packet by the sender, if required. No further NAKs are sent.
Neglect the time associated with non-error handling activities, e.g., routing headers etc.
Neglect the error associated with transmission of small ACK/NAK packets
For the Transparent ARQ mode, associated channels do not involve use of HARQ.
