Answer the following questions: (1) Sketch the flow velocity profile of fluid within both plates (you may assume the gap between plates is much smaller than the width and length of the plate) (2) Determine the magnitude and direction of the shearing stresses that act on the fixed walls when the moving plate has a velocity of 2 m/s. (3) If the fluids between plates are pseudo plastic instead of Newtonian, do you expect the answer of shear stress magnitude in part (2) increases or decreases? Why? (assume the viscosity data provided are applicable to pseudo plastic fluids at zero shear rate) a 2mm u = 0.04 Pa.s 2 m/s 1mm u= 0.02 Pa.s
