Problem one

Campers World is a company that produces camping and other sporting equipment. The company wishes to implement an MRP system for one of its products, the Mirage foldable light-weight tent. The master production schedule (MPS) for this product for the next 12 weeks is given in Table 1 below.

The planned production in week 9 of the MPS is given as 232.

The Mirage tent is assembled from two sub-assemblies: S1 and S2. Sub-assembly S1 requires components C1 and C3, while sub-assembly S2 requires components C2 and part P2. Component C1 is made from parts P1and P2. The beginning inventory, lot-sizing rule, lead time and usage for all of the items needed to assemble the Mirage tent are given in Table 2.

Assignment Tasks:
