Productivity over the years has focused almost solely on how many of a good or service is produced ready for sale within a given time period. The traditional definition and empirical model is Productivity = output/input. Rather simplistic in its reach to include other variables. Everything else such as organizational culture, employee satisfaction, esoteric value to the communities at large, providing for the disenfranchised and many others.
