Products that competed with eachother the most were alot of the big name company products such as icecream and soda products. The icecream companys such as bluebell and ben and jerrys compete with each other and are very similar in price. But bluebell offers more icecream at higher prices and theres less icecream but more specific flavors for ben and jerrys ice cream. The same thing also occurs wih other major market items such as sodas and energy drinks. In the soda isle cocacola products are diretly next to pepsi co products and have many different deals and other promotions tempting consumers to buy their products. Most the products that i have seen are directly competing with eachother. This is a great example of MONOPOLISTIC COMPETITION. As it shows there are many companies in the industry that produce similar but different products. Lots of companys such as cocalcola own many different brands underneath them show an OLIGOPOLY. Coca cola and pepsi co basically control the entire soft drink marketet showing OLIGOPOLY and how these companies exist in the market structure and how they run it and how much influence they have in the market as well. Products that are aimed at consious consumers are mostly organic company products or products that are humanely made and ethically sourced. There is a Product such as OLIPOP which compete with soda and other drink products. They are located in smaller parts of the store and arent easily seen. This may be because of the price of the product and the nature in which they are competing against
