PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN (PDP) Purpose: The purpose of the Professional Development Plan (PDP) is to promote the continuous process of acquiring new knowledge that relates to purposeful learning experiences, individual job responsibilities, and the professional environment of XYZ Company. These learning opportunities help employees further develop apply, and share their knowledge, skills, abilities, tools, and resources needed to be successful in the ever changing workplace. The PDP plays a key role in maintaining trained, informed, and motivated employees keenly aware of the company mission, vision, core values, and commitment to its constituents. XYZ Company encourages all employees to become members of professional organizations, practice social responsibility, to pursue continuing education or training in their respective fields, and to enhance their skills in developing and using technology to accomplish tasks.
