Professor Fitter is interested in the relationship between how many hours a person works out per week and how important health is to a person. She conducts a survey in her undergraduate class. She asks her students these two questions. 1) On average, how many hours do you work out every week? Please write down a number. 2) From a scale of one to ten, one being not important at all and ten being very important, how would you rate the importance of health? Running a crosstab and chi-square test revealed that there was a chi square of 0.92 (p<.05). Based on this finding, Professor Fitter concludes that for the students in her class, there is a strong positive statistically significant relationship between how many hours a person works out and how important health is to a person: students who worked out more also had higher views of importance for health.
