Project Background This project is to create an inventory management web application for an organization that provides a service to society. The background of this is to record the accurate data of the items received as donations to the organization and the items purchased under the government funds or the organization's funds.

Problem Statements By working closely with the organization, an investigation was carried out on the current system and some of the problems they faced so far were identified. So far they have stored the information of all their items using Microsoft Excel and taken copies and stored them as physical files and regular files on the computer. These storages are very complex. Also, because there is a large number of physical files, there are problems related to the places to store them. A lot of time and human effort is wasted in storing this information and finding the details of the items when needed. Also, the other problem faced by this organization is the loss of goods and not being able to trace the exact details of the lost goods. (serial numbers, value, date purchased or donated, and donors) If an item being used is broken or unable to work, it is very important to know the warranty period and the company that purchased the item. But in the current system, they fail to find it. All the items are distributed to the users in the organization by the store management department. Here, each individual should make a request to the storekeeper to get the items they need. Currently, the employees of the organization do not have an opportunity to know if an item they want is in the store of the organization. They always have to go to the storekeeper to find out. Also, the storekeeper has no facility to check whether the items requested by the requesters are available in the store. Also, the storekeeper does not have information about when and to whom some of the distributed items were distributed.

Introduction About the System An inventory management system (IMS) is a program that helps the storekeeper manage inventory. Based on users' needs, the system can provide minimal functionality such as adding and updating members, new items, and distribution. The system can handle checking specifications, details of available items, details of delivered items, donors, categories to which items belong, and much more. A web application is best suited for this organization to match the problems identified by the research conducted. It is best to create this system as a web application to get more productivity with less cost. Also, this system is easy and friendly to use.

Proposed Solutions To avoid all the problems mentioned before, a special Inventory management system has to be created for this organization. A web application is best suited for this organization to match the problems identified by the research conducted. It is best to create this system as a web application for more productivity and less cost. Also, this system has to be easy to use and user-friendly. When creating this web application, the storekeeper is appointed as admin. He/she should enter all the details of purchased or donated items. Also, once a product is distributed to the respective user, the storekeeper should record all the information about the distribution. The role of the general users of this system is to know the items in the store and to check whether they are currently in the organization store or not.
