Project Description:

Refer to the following passage:

"Sales have probably seen more changes in the last 10 years than they have done in the previous 50 years. They are operating in a more challenging environment than ever before. Sales practices are being forced to change and are moving away from a tactical focus to a more strategic one."

For Project 1, instead of looking in the past, focus on the future. Using some of the concepts discussed in Chapter 1, as well as your imagination, speculate on how sales and sales organizations will change in the next 10 years. Be creative.

• How will they operate in a digital and global environment?
• How will marketing and sales departments communicate effectively?
• How will the changing nature of the sales/marketing dynamic affect customer relationships?
