Project Overview

City Hospital is a large public medical center which currently serves a large and diverse

community. Unfortunately, some residents face transportation barriers or long distances to access

specialists. Additionally, wait times for appointments can be lengthy, impacting patient

satisfaction and access to care. City Hospital decided to overcome these challenges by building a

telemedicine platform that allows patients to consult with doctors remotely via video conferencing.

The project budget is estimated to be $$2$ million according to the financial controller, Batricia

Kriston. However, the implantation timeline will be $12$ months only.

The intended platform has many features such as: patients can schedule appointments with

specialists through the platform for consultations without needing to travel to the hospital. Doctors

can conduct consultations, diagnose certain conditions, and prescribe medications electronically

during appointments. Moreover, the platform seamlessly integrates with the hospital's electronic

medical records, allowing doctors to access patient history during virtual visits. Also, the platform

utilizes secure video conferencing technology to ensure patient privacy and data security. By

implanting such platform, City Hospital will improve accessibility: patients facing transportation

barriers or long distances can access specialists more easily, reduce wait times: Patients can

schedule appointments and receive care faster, increasing patient satisfaction. Moreover, increase

efficiency: Doctors can see more patients remotely, improving healthcare delivery efficiency.

Enhance patient engagement: The platform can offer educational resources and appointment

rem. According to all given platform$$s features, students are required to plan for the project$$s

scope, time, cost, people, risk, and communication and document all the planning in the

form of the following documents:
