1.0 Introduction

The Canadian Cancer Society is committed to reducing the impact of cancer on Canadians and improving the quality of life for those affected by the disease. This project proposal outlines our vision for a new initiative aimed at organizing a fundraiser to collect donations to provide a support system to cancer patients and support their immediate family, raising funds that can help with medication, home assistance, counselling, expenses. As well as being able to provide research and awareness on cancer, symptoms, testing, treatment, and coping mechanisms. Our team has identified and developed a comprehensive strategy to achieve these goals. With the support of partners, donors, and community members, we believe this project has the potential to make a significant impact on helping The Canadian Cancer Society as a whole and the individuals in it. We are excited to move forward with this initiative and welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with those who share our commitment to defeating cancer.

2.0 Issue

This project aims to address the multiple challenges faced by those affected by cancer. One of the main issues we aim to solve is the financial burden that cancer patients and their families often face. The second issue we want to tackle is improving the quality of life for cancer patients by addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs. Third, we aim to address the impact of cancer on mental health and provide support to those struggling with anxiety, depression, and other emotional difficulties. Finally, we will help cancer patients cope with the life changes that come with a cancer diagnosis by providing resources and support. Our goal is to help cancer patients and their families navigate this difficult time with dignity and support.

It is necessary to consider taking action for the Canadian Cancer Society because cancer continues to be a major health challenge in Canada, affecting millions of Canadians and their families. The burden of cancer on individuals and society as a whole is significant and requires ongoing efforts to reduce its impact. By taking action, the Canadian Cancer Society can continue to advance its mission to prevent cancer, fund research, provide support to those affected by cancer, and advocate for public policies to improve the overall health and well-being of Canadians. Through active engagement, the society can continue to raise awareness, generate resources, and drive progress in the fight against cancer. By considering and taking action, the Canadian Cancer Society can continue to make a real and meaningful difference in the lives of Canadians.
