Dickey MBA 6951 PROJECT SCOPE 2 Customer requirements Acquisition of adaptive software to improve on the general achievements of the school and allow learners to aces instructional materials. The project is intended to equip the school with the most recent adaptive technology software to enhance the quality instructional process to all learners. The project also intends to train teachers on the use of the software. The organization is able to improve on the quality of education to the visually impaired. Statement of Work Acquire new adaptive technology software to assist in achievement of the institutional learning. Train the teachers and staff on the use of the new software. Train the students on the use of the new technology. Deliverables Setting up adaptive technology software; the school would install the following software optical character recognition, screening magnification software. Training of the staff on the use of the new adaptive software enhances proper use of the software. The staff should be vigorously trained on how to use the new technologies. Train the students on the use of the modern adaptive technology software. Well trained student are capable of effectively utilizing the new technology to improve the learning process. General improvement of the literacy levels among the students. This is achieved by adopting the most recent adaptive technology software and training of the staff on their use. PROJECT SCOPE 3 Acceptance criteria Performance of the students; the new technology significantly improves the performance of the students. Using of visual aids such as models, diagrams and pictures enhancing teaching concept and attentiveness and understanding of learners. Technology increases the effectiveness of the learning process. The major concern of the school is to adopt new technologies that enhance the efficiency in learning. Technology helps blind students to understand their environment improve their learning capability. Learners are able to easily access the instructional materials. Installation of the adaptive software as JAWS, screen magnification software and optical character recognition which helps in conversion of material into documents that the blind student can read using screen reading software. Work Breakdown structure The project intends to acquire new technology to enhance the achievements of the blind student. The teachers would be trained on how to use the newly adopted adaptive technology software. The project aims at improve on the efficiency of training the visually impaired students. Through the project the school intends to improve on the literacy performance of learners who are visually impaired. The project also intends to integrate ICT in the instructional process of learners who are visually impaired.
