The Gomez family is a proud family in good standing with the Catholic Church. They are proud of their son Carlito, and want him to grow to be active in the church. They are afraid that they are seeing behaviors from Carlito that frighten them. Since he was young, he wasn't like the other boys. His interests were different. Now that he is entering puberty, he does not seem to be interested in the girls they think he should like. In Carlos's family, he heard of his dad's brother never getting married, and there were rumors that his roommate was more than a friend, but no one ever talked about them as a couple. Carlos wants to turn his son into a normal boy. He was told that a family therapist could help him.
