I am a member of a subcommittee's leadership team, and there is one person who tends to derail the group's goals by misaligning them with decisions we had already agreed on moving forward with as a team. For example, as a team, we decided not to deploy a strategy when the subcommittee members joined a meeting because we felt it was inappropriate and affected morale. However, once the larger group joined the meeting, the person known for slowing the group down started deploying the previously discussed strategy. I politely interjected and clarified our decision as a leadership group with the group members. Her reaction was that she felt it was still important; I reiterated the decision and asked that we move forward. After that meeting, the other group members thanked me for interjecting
