Picture a three$-$story house. The construction is complete, the walls are fresh with paint, and various rooms are full of mismatched furniture. The bottom floor, the most accessible area of the home, signifies exposure and a passion for immersing in the business field. Representing the skills I am aiming to obtain from the business school, is the second floor. A business degree sits on the highest floor where there is an array of opportunities. The structure of the home resembles me$,$ and my unwavering commitment to learning. Each layer of paint reflects a new experience and the dedication applied to any situation I encounter. Pieces of unique furniture mimic the diverse amount of preferences a client possesses and the importance of inclusive approaches. Lastly, the rooms are representations of the countless teams who collaborate to reach the final destination: a sale or purchase. There are many components to a transaction, and I want to understand the process. As I aim to reach the third floor of the home where the business degree is awarded, I must climb up the stairs and take each step slowly as a way to obtain knowledge and expand my passion for helping people as a real estate broker.

The first floor is where I reside currently. After taking classes like AP Economics and Calculus I have been fortunate to establish a base level of knowledge in learning what influences market fluctuations, preferences, and governmental policies. I am enthusiastic about expanding my understanding through courses offered at the business school, like General Business $306.$ This course will ultimately teach me how to use probability as a factor in making decisions for a client when constrained by time. As I paint my past retail experience as a sales associate on the wall, I aim to utilize these abilities in new circumstances. I acquired communication skills through watching colleagues and their negotiation tactics to use with customers to aid their needs. I decided to continue working in the business field, therefore I can add another layer of paint for immersing myself in the real estate field. My dedication to real estate blossoms as I realize that I can continue to support people experiencing tough situations, like marriage separation, and assist with their stress. After bringing meals to elderly individuals throughout high school, I witnessed the beneficial impacts of my actions and continue to do so in Madison through Business, Badgers, and Beyond. With a business degree, I can provide credibility that I am prepared to work at top firms to provide insight to clients and assist in alleviating their circumstances.

As president of my high school$$s Religious Affinity Group, it was my responsibility to provide a space where each member felt comfortable sharing their opinions. Through weekly meetings with set rules, listening policies, and civil discussions we spoke to improve the political climate on campus and decided to create a message through art. We choreographed a dance piece, together, to portray all of our perspectives and performed in front of the entire student body, leading to positive dialogue. Seen with mismatched furniture and through contrasting opinions, inclusivity of preferences must be invited as it adds innovation and creativity to solving challenges. As Lorna Davis states, $$Innovation is not about solo genius, it$$s about collective genius.$$ Incorporation of everyone$$s ideas is crucial, otherwise, there is a missed opportunity for valuable insight from colleagues. While I was new to real estate, the agent allowed me to participate in finding a buyer for the home. I was given the space to provide feedback each day after showing the house, offering a younger generation$$s perspective. I recommended we focus on digital platforms and the responses of the clients on their experience working with the agent. I began social media pages and was able to broaden our audience outside of our immediate community using niche hashtags and trending content. I would suggest sending a survey to clients where they can write about their experience working with the agent. This will help with networking and referrals to friends and family.

In each room of the home, various teams, including buyers and inspectors, coordinate with one another to complete a transaction. Real estate requires constant communication through phone calls, text messages, and most importantly in$-$person interactions. With the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence in the business realm, there is uncertainty about its power because we $$fear what we don$$t understand$($Joseph Bradley$).$ In the next two to three years, the efficiency of time taken to complete a task will increase because AI provides free automated repetitive tasks, and immediate search results, and adapts to the dynamic economy.
