Aamodt (2016) defines performance evaluation as the way of providing feedback to the employee of the organization and in turn offering an evaluation of their strengths and weaknesses so that training can be implemented in the future. Performance appraisal is a way to measure that the employee is also achieving the organization's goals.

According to Aamodt (2016), the performance evaluation process consists of nine interrelated steps:

Step 1: Determine the reason for evaluating performance

Step 2: Identify environmental and cultural limitations

Step 3: Determine who will evaluate performance

Step 4: Select the best evaluation methods to achieve the goals

Step 5: Training the evaluator

Step 6: Observe and document performance

Step 7: Evaluate performance

Step 8: Communicate evaluation results to employees

Step 9: Dismissal of employees

The Puerto Rico Online company has hired you as a specialist in industrial organizational psychology to support the recruitment and selection process for the position of online sales representative for the company. Your consulting consists of designing a project that includes the application of the different foundations, theories and characteristics associated with human resources management. This time, you will need to develop a performance evaluation for the online sales representative position.

General instructions for performance evaluation:

Review the concepts related to the development of job analysis and performance evaluation presented in the corresponding modules (module 4 and module 5) and in the assigned readings.

Use as a reference the proposal worked on in module 2 on Recruitment and selection (Task 2.1 Case: Human resources management) regarding the position of online sales representative of the company Puerto Rico Online to design a performance evaluation for the mentioned position.

The performance evaluation must be created and completed taking into consideration the nine steps of Aamodt (2016), as well as relevant information that supports your management as an expert in industrial-organizational psychology.

Use creativity in the design of this product for the organization. Your work must be highly creative and innovative, as the organization has always requested.

You must support the performance evaluation with literature and information presented in the module. Remember, citations from other authors must be properly documented (author name, title, date, among others, use APA style).

If you use any literature not available in the module, you must make your own citation considering APA style. Additionally, you must provide the electronic link or reference of the information used to complete the task.

Finally, carefully examine the criteria established in the rubric, which will be used to evaluate your work. In addition, it will help you identify how you should develop the performance evaluation.
