The Pt1000 sensor is the "big brother" of the Pt100 sensor. Its nominal resistance is 1090 $ at (.C and the resistance values are higher than those of the Pt100 sensor by a factor of 10 (Appendix A). A sensor, model PT1000/3.0 (see below), with a cable consisting of Cu wires of 0.5 mm in diameter is to be installed in a district heating system to monitor the temperature. a) In a test of the sensor at room temperature, it is connected to a multimeter and the resistance is measured. Estimate the error in temperature. You can assume that the Pt1000 sensor element and the multimeter are accurately calibrated. (1.5 p) b) The sensor is inserted in a tube with circulating water. The multimeter reads 1083.8 0. Calculate the water temperature as accurately as possible. (0.5 P) c) Suddenly the temperature of the hot water increases 50.0 'C. Calculate the measured temperature increase 25 s after the sudden change. d) Calculate the time it takes until the temperature error in the measured change is less than 10.5 You need to consider only dynamic errors
