Identify the appropriate technologies, infrastructures, and services for an optimum network environment based on a specific situation.

REQUIREMENT

Absolute Insurance $($AI$)$ is a leading insurer in West Malaysia. AI provides a collection of financial products that address the protection and financial security needs of their consumers at every stage of life, including protection, health, personal accidents, employee benefits, general insurance, mortgage, retirement, and family takaful products. Due to its successful financial solutions, AI has a huge number of customers, and demands have been coming from prospects from Sabah and Sarawak. The management of AI has decided to expand its service in West Malaysia to reach East Malaysia $($Sabah and Sarawak$).$

As the Senior Network Engineer in AI$,$ you must prepare a report on the networking infrastructure between AI$$s headquarters and its $16$ branches in each state $($total of $13)$ and federal territory $($total of $3).$

$$ Provide the organization's background, including the business operations $($e$.$g$.,$ running $24/7)$ and the needs $($e$.$g$.,$ a secure environment for its staff and students$)$ of the organization.

$$ Propose a solution for the LAN network infrastructure of the organization$$s headquarters $($minimum FIVE floors$)$ which is in Selangor. It is important to justify what you have proposed, as the bulk of the marks will be based on your justifications.

Examples of proposed solutions are $($but are not restricted to$)$:

a$.$ Networking devices $($e$.$g$.$ bridge, switch, AP$,$ router, gateway$)$

b$.$ Topology $($e$.$g$.$ bus, star, ring$)$

c$.$ Communication media $($e$.$g$.$ coaxial cable, UTP, STP$,$ fiber optics, WiFi$)$

$$ Propose a solution for the WAN network infrastructure of the organization$$s branches $($all $16$ branches and one headquarters are to be connected$).$ It is important to justify what you have proposed as the bulk of the marks will be based on YOUR justifications. Examples of proposed solutions are $($but are not restricted to$)$:

You are also required to provide network diagrams and IP addressing schemes using any software for creating a network diagram $($Do NOT use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Suggestions: Network Notepad, CADE, Dia, and Diagram Designer$).$
