No course in Organizational Theory and Behavior would be complete without examining the impact of leaders/managers on organizational life. The purpose of this project is to examine the contemporary roles of leaders and managers and how those roles contribute to motivating employees to do their best. There are many approaches to leadership. Some approaches describe certain individual traits that are important for leaders to display. Some emphasize leader actions/ and behaviors, while others focus on situational or environmental contingencies that determine the "right" kind of leadership. In this presentation you will be asked to focus on three particular approaches: Transformational, Servant, and Authentic leadership.
Step 1: Read all the instructions.
Step 2: Comprise a presentation using PowerPoint, Prezi, or other presentation software that does not exceed 20 slides. There is no minimum number of slides. ALL of the following points:
Research and present the essential components of each the three approaches mentioned above. What are the key characteristics of each
What is there about each approach that would positively impact employee motivation?
What do each of these approaches seem to have in common? What are common threads that run through all three?
Present a slide which lists what employees want/expect from their managers. You will have to do research on this and note the source form which you pulled this data
Select one of the most important things employees say they want from their managers and report on how each of the three approaches could align with the expectation you selected.
To what degree does you current manager display the characteristics of any of these approaches?
Include a reference citation page/

INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO PREPARE THE SUBMISSION:
Voice overs are not necessary for this presentation, and I prefer that you do not use voice over. The slides should contain enough information to answer the questions but not contain paragraphs.
One way to organize the slides is presented below..
Create a slide that presents the key components of Transformational leadership (cite sources used)
Follow that slide with one that explains how this approach to leadership might positively impact employee motivation (cite the sources you used to reach these conclusions.)
Next, Follow the format above for both servant and authentic leadership styles.
Next present a slide or slide that acknowledges the common threads that seems to run through all three approaches
Next present a slide or slides on what employees want/expectation from their managers/leaders today.
Select one expectation from the list in the preceding slide and for each of the three approaches tell us how it aligns with what employees want from their leaders and managers. For example, create a slide on Tranformational leadership and report on how this leadership approach aligns with or might address/meet the employee expectation you selected. Create another slide or slides on Servant leadership and report on how this approach might address or meet this expectation. Create the next slide or set of slides for Authentic Leadership.
Finally do you think these leadership styles are appropriate ways to lead employees?
The last slide should be a references page.
Please note that slides are NOT meant to contain the information in the form of paragraphs. Use tables, charts and bullet points to present to answer the above points. In addition you decide how many slides to use in each section as long as they do not excced 20 slides in total.
