Purpose - The purpose of this assignment is to train students to explore and understand the relevant trends or issues of Industrial / Labor Relations, as well as Employment Law which will give an impact to an organization.

Process

1. Students will need to choose a topic and each topic will be unique to each student, i.e. no duplication of topic within students of the class.

1. Identify a recent, relevant, related article from the topic chosen, year of the article need to be from 2022 onwards.

3. Students need to read and analyze the article.

4. Students need to identify the following key objectives:

1. Identify ONE (1) issue or trend addressed/discussed in the article 3/4 1 page; (3 marks)

1. Explain the impact of each of the issue to employer or employee or to the government 1-2 pages; (4 marks)

1. Make two recommendations for action to LR & EL professional or employers or employees or government should follow in order to deal with the above issue or trend. The recommendations must be supported by literature/facts obtained from a credible source 1-1.5 pages; (2 x 3m = 6 marks)

5. Students need to edit and proofread their report and the report should be within 3 - 5 pages in total. (2 marks)
