Pursuant to the Baltimore Police Department's consent decree with the Department of Justice, BPD has spent the past few years revising many of its policies. Each of the draft policies must be announced to the public and subject to a period of public review and comment. All citizens can opine on whether they believe the policy is appropriate as written or requires modification.

One such policy revision involves departmental procedures related to the interrogation of juvenile suspects. Review pages 8-9 (Conducting the Interrogation) of the draft Baltimore Police Department Youth Interrogation Policy posted below. In the discussion forum, post the body of a letter to BPD explaining whether you think this is good policy as written or something that needs revision.
