You have to examine a solar system for your house that can take up to 50-70% of your total load. Depending upon the climate conditions of your own city Pakistan (Islamabad), you may shift any device on solar. Perform both on-grid and off-grid analysis and it must answer the following questions.
1- Monthly load of your house and which devices you want to shift.
2- Variation of that load in different months. Calculate load of any month is summers and use factors of 0.8 (autumn), 0.6 (winter), 0.7 (spring) for calculating load of other seasons.
3- Size of solar system that will fulfil the required demand.
4- Estimated cost, revenue by the end of life, and payback period of the project.
5- Briefly analyse whether the system is sustainable or not ?
Make following assumptions in you solution.
1- You cannot spend above 250,000 PKR.
2- Per kW cost of system is 90,000 PKR.
3- Life of batteries (if used ) has a life of 3 years and its price is 50,000 PKR.
4- Life of inverter is 5 years and its price is 80,000 PKR
5- Cost of 1 unit purchased or sold from the grid is 15 PKR.
6- If you think any data is missing, assume it and mention it at the end of your answers.
7- If you are using excel file for solving the problem, then you must submit it along with your paper its picture. Even if you are using an excel file, do write the main answers on your actual A4 sheets.
