Q 4(c) [10 Marks] ABC Ltd hired a contractor, XYZ Ltd, to paint a pier. ABC Ltd discussed with Paint Products Ltd (PP Ltd) the suitability of a certain type of paint and was assured by PP Ltd that the paint in question would last for seven years. With this advice in mind ABC Ltd went ahead and instructed XYZ Ltd to use the recommended paint. ABC Ltd reserved this right of instruction under the contract. The paint was unsatisfactory and started to peel in the first few months after painting. Advise ABC Ltd of both the applicable area of law and any possible legal remedies
