Q1. Johnny intends to change the flooring tiles of his bathroom. Sandy, owner and salesperson, specialises and operates a shop selling all kinds of tiles. Johnny told Sandy that he needed tiles which was suitable to be used in his bathroom. Sandy recommended to Johnny a type of tiles known as "durable" and described to him that the tiles was suitable to be used in wet areas.

Three weeks later, Johnny faced problems with the new tiles he had purchased from Sandy. It started to crack, and some spots on the floor of the bathroom were very slippery. As a result,Johnny had to engage the services of a professional tiles layer, Hassan to remove the tiles and have the whole bathroom re-tiled. Hassan, the professional tiles layer told Johnny that the "durable" tile were not suitable for wet and slippery areas. Advise Johnny as to his rights against Sandy under the Sale of Goods Act 1957. (20 marks)

At the workshop whilst the seat was about to be replaced, the motorcycle was damaged in an accident.
