Question what is the FLSA's minimum wage for employees that are not exempt from the FLSA? The FLSA minimum wage is $7.25, as set forth in the amended FLSA of 1997, but it is indexed for inflation each year. Today for 2019 is $11.00 per hour in California. Employees that are paid a Salary are exempt from the minimum wage laws, no matter how many hours they work in a work week. $7.25 in all cases. It's the minimum wage. No lower wage are allowed per the FLSA. The required minimum wage is generally $7.25 per hour, but some workers may be paid less, like a disabled person who works slower than disabled people, or an intern who is just learning, or a worker that gets tips at average $10.00 per hour.
