Q2. A mill processes 12500 t of wet ore per day with moisture content of 1.5%. Feed grade of dry ore is 2.5% Pb and 4.8 % Zn. The ore is processed in a two strage flotation circuit in which Pb is recovered in the first stage to a Pb-concentrate at a grade of 67.5% Pb leaving a Pb circuit tailings containing 0.42% Pb and 4.75% Zn. This later material is fed to a Zn flotation circuit (2nd stage of flotation) producing a Zn concentrate of 53.6% Zn and a final tailings containing 0.31% Zn and 0.26% Pb. Draw a neat circuit diagram. Find the recovery of Pb to Pb concentrate and recovery of Zn to the Zn concentrate. Also find the grade of Pb in Zn concentrate and grade of Zn in Pb concentrate.
