Q3. Ron applied for an advertised post in the parks department of Swanson Borough Council (SBC) as a delivery driver. Following his rejected application for a post he considered himself to be qualified for, he asked SBC for the reason and any other feedback. Ron was informed that due to under-representation in the workforce of women and people from ethnic minority groups, SBC had adopted a policy that priority of appointment and promotion would be given to people of these groups.
