Q3.2 (12 marks) Design a ladder diagram for the following ducted air gas-fired heating. The PLC controlling the heating system has the following inputs: Pilot light detected (Pilo is present) 0 normally closed contact (opens when the pilot light Furnace minimum temperature (FurnaceMin) normally open contact e Furnace maximum temperature (FurnaceMax) normally open contact Heating on (On) normally open contact (only activated when pressed) . Heating off (Off) normally open contact (only activated when pressed) .Thermostat (Thermo) contact open when room temperature is below set temperature and closed when room temperature exceeds set temperature and the following outputs: .Main gas burner on (Burner) . Air circulation fan (Fan) Heating on indicator (SystemOn) Over-Temperature Alarm (Alarm) The PLC operates as follows: The main burner (Burner) will switch on 2 seconds after all of the following conditions are met -the pilot light is detected (Pilot), the heating on switch (On) has been pressed but not the heating off switch (Off), the furnace temperature has not reached its maximum (FurnaceMax) and room temperature is below the temperature set by the thermostat (Thermo). If any of these conditions is not met then the burner switches off. The air circulation fan (Fan) will switch on if the furnace temperature is above the minimum (FurnaceMin) and will remain on for 30 seconds after the furnace temperature falls below its minimum temperature. The heating on indicator light (SystemOn) will illuminate when the heating on (On) button is pressed and extinguish when the heating off button (Off) is pressed. The over-temperature alarm (Alarm) will sound if the furnace temperature exceeds its maximum value (FurnaceMax) for more than 20 seconds or the pilot light is extinguished (Pilot). The alarm will continue sounding forever (until the PLC is reset)
