  2. Describe Your Recruitment Process: What are the inclusion criteria for your project? How do you plan to invite the participants to participate in the interview process for your project? Who will be communicating with the participants to invite them to participate? What permissions are needed to contact participants and how to you plan to secure the permissions? How will the invitation be transmitted? What information will be included in the invitation letter (consider a description of the study, what will be expected of participants, the length of time expected for participations, etc.). How will informed consent be secured? What are the key conditions of informed consent (consider anonymity, confidentiality and withdrawal procedures)?

  1. Describe the Interview Setting and Materials: What is the location for the interview? Who will be present? What, if any materials will be provided (informed consent, recording devices, handouts, etc.).
  2. Describe Your Interview Process: Detail how you will introduce the interview process to the participant and remind the participant of key aspects of the interview process including the purpose of the project, the importance of the information to be provided by the participant, how (if at all) the interview transcript and project findings will be shared with the participants, expected length of the interview that is about to occur, and the format and process for the interview.
  3. Describe What Your Participants Will Do: Detail the demographics to be collected and the mechanism for collecting demographic information. List your Interview Questions: Illustrate how your interview questions map back to your project questions. For each interview question, detail, follow-up probing questions to utilized if there is a need to add breadth or depth to participant responses. Begin, by detailing the demographic information you will collect from participants and how you will collect the information (survey or interview). Based upon the guide, you should be able to explain and justify the sufficiency of data to be collected to enable you to answer your project questions.
