Quality of Government

This is an interesting research institute that keeps track of the quality of government worldwide. Created in 2004, it tracks good government using various observational variables combined with data collected from expert surveys. Here is a link to the codebook for January 2024:

This assignment is pretty simple. It allows you to expand your knowledge of linear regression.

1. Load the Quality of Government data. It is linked to Unit 6.
2. Your dependent (or outcome) variable is the Corruption Perceptions Index: ti_cpi
3. Select an independent (or predictor) variable. Please select a numerical variable.
4. Produce the following:
   1. scatterplot
   2. linear regression line on scatterplot
   3. linear regression model: y = a + bx
   4. R-squared
