2. Redundancy is an important aspect of Network Design. (i) Explain why redundancy is important in computer networks. (ii) Give one example of where it can be properly applied in a network. [2 Marks]

3. Two access layer switches sw1 and sw2 are connected by four fast ethernet links. (i) Describe any two problems that would be experienced when redundancy is implemented without the use of STP (Spanning Tree Protocol) (ii) Explain what STP would do to help resolve the problems described. Use an example broadcast frame transmitted between sw1 and sw2 to explain your answers. [4 Marks]

(i) Define Link aggregation. (ii) Link aggregation can be added to Networks for (i) Redundancy and (ii) Increased Bandwidth. Explain!
