Question 1

Rainbow Textiles have decided to purchase an industrial pattern-making machine called the Robustelli Monna Lisa II. They have designed an entire new range of patterns and textiles with this machine. Your executive, Mr Bennet, has asked you to plan an event where the company will be introducing these new designs to competitors, clients (both potential and existing) and the general public.

Mr Bennet has provided you with the following guidelines:

The event must allow for no more than 120 people and will be two hours in duration.

Marketing the event in the press, radio and on social media is essential.

Location, date and time to be confirmed.

The event will consist of a fashion show, as well as a display booth where staff members will demonstrate to attendees how the new machine works.

Staff training for the display booth needs to be arranged.

Light snacks and drinks must be arranged.

Create a simple work breakdown structure (WBS) using the outline view that displays the entire scope of the project. Your outline view must also show all 5 stages of the project. You will also need to show the sub-deliverables for each major stage.

Your sub-deliverables should go no higher than 4 levels, for example 1.1.1.1; and you should keep your points to a maximum of 8 per sub-deliverable.
