The contribution will be limited to the amount of the available refund. The contribution in excess of the available refund will become a balance due. The taxpayer must submit a separate check or checks to the state of Utah for the excess. The check() must be written to each specific charity The designated contributions will be disallowed and the original refund will be issued to the taxpayer
